Steroid Injections

Steroid injections in podiatry can help to reduce the pain and inflammation of:

  • Arthritis (eg. foot, ankle, big toe)
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Neuroma’s and other nerve compressions/entrapments
  • Capsulitis
  • Ganglions or bursa
  • Interdigital Neuritis (Morton’s Neuroma)

Dermal Fillers for the Feet

Dermal fillers can be used for the medical purpose of insulating or offloading points of pressure in the foot or toes. This provides cushioning for the balls of the feet and to treat corns or callus.

People who have to wear heeled shoes for occupational reasons could find a complete lifestyle change with this procedure.  This procedure can only be carried out by specialist podiatrists and can last 6-12 months.

Podiatric Acupuncture

The therapeutic use of acupuncture to stimulate anatomical trigger points can work to reduce the painful symptoms associated with some of the following foot and lower limb  conditions:

  • Metatarsalgia or forefoot pain
  • Hallux limitus or rigidus
  • Heel pain or plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Pain from osteoarthritis
  • Painful scars to legs or feet
  • Interdigital neuritis
  • Painful calves
  • Shin splints
  • Pain from intermittent claudication
  • Chronic ankle pains
  • Painful neuropathy (eg. Diabetic neuropathic pain)

We also offer warm wax therapy treatment and toenail reconstruction.
